Don’t let the numbers fool you! We have raised much more than appears on our fundraising sites. After months of being derided as “4 old ladies on the corner” by the county executive, you need to remember that “old ladies,” among others, write checks! Through our fundraising sites, the KOLP Kickoff, and check to our PO Box, we’ve raised $107,000 so far and will probably need another $25,000 to continue our fight. Our case is strong, which means the county executive has already employed stall tactics to drag things out and try to drain our funds. Please don’t let that happen! Any funds raised above and beyond our legal expenses will be donated to fund library programming.

There are three options for donations, mailing a check, FundLibraries.org, and RallyUp. Links and additional information is below.

You can kick it old school by mailing a check to Keep Our Library Public; PO Box 8361; Erie PA 16505. Donations here are not tax-deductible.

We have partnered with EveryLibrary Institute with a FundLibraries.org fundraising site. Part of your donation goes to EveryLibrary Institute, but in exchange, they promote our campaign nationally. Because EveryLibrary Institute is a 501c3, these donations are tax-deductible. You can also make an anonymous donation if you choose to do so.

You can make a lump sum donation, or you can set up recurring payments at our RallyUp site. These donation are not tax-deductible, and there is a small processing fee. You can donate anonymously.

While you’re at it, please sign our petition at Fight for the First, also through EveryLibrary.

We are ordinary people–taxpayers–just like you, from all walks of life. Unfortunately, that means that none of us is independently wealthy. We need your support for this grassroots effort to make sure Erie County taxpayers are treated fairly and all of the Blasco Library continues to belong to the public.
