KOLP is registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an unincorporated non-profit association. The purpose of KOLP is to dissolve the lease between Erie County, PA and Gannon University in the Blasco Erie County Public Library. A secondary function of KOLP is to promote patronage of the Blasco Erie County Library and its branches. This involves retaining legal representation and fundraising to pay for said legal representation. Keep Our Library Public (KOLP) has filed a legal complaint in the Erie County Court of Common Pleas to prevent 3200 square feet of Blasco Erie County Public Library in Erie County, PA from being leased to a tax-exempt, private, religious university. We are raising money for these legal efforts at our donation site. Checks can also be sent to our PO Box. Contributions are greatly needed and welcome, but they are not tax-deductible.
